UAE E-Invoicing Service Provider Collaboration Forum

Thursday, 13 August 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00

Qamar Alhkim and Alex Pavel, Middle-East chapter co-chairs, would like to invite the technical and implementation teams to participate to the next chapter next meeting, which could lead to the setup of a new collaboration forum for UAE e-invoicing service providers.

The objective of this forum is to create a collaborative environment where service providers can:

  • Exchange knowledge and discuss technical questions related to the UAE e-invoicing framework and Peppol.
  • Share implementation experiences, lessons learned and common challenges.
  • Resolve questions collaboratively where possible before approaching the UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF), helping to reduce duplicate inquiries.
  • Identify common industry challenges affecting multiple service providers and, where appropriate, communicate them to the MoF through GENA as a unified industry voice.

This initiative builds on GENA's successful experience in other regions, particularly Europe, where service providers have collaborated through GENA to share industry feedback, contribute to public consultations on initiatives such as ViDA, and engage with public authorities on e-invoicing and regulatory developments. Our ambition is to establish a similar trusted forum in the Middle East that benefits both service providers and public authorities while strengthening the dialogue with the UAE Ministry of Finance.

We also plan to invite subject matter experts to explain specific technical requirements and answer participants' questions. Depending on the level of interest and feedback received, this forum may become a regular knowledge-sharing platform for the UAE and, more broadly, the Middle East region.

The first session is planned for August 13th from 10.00 to 11.00 CET/12PM UAE time.
